Leitbild Services considers the protection of human health, safety and the environment for all its employees, contractors, customers and the community to be of primary importance.
The overall success of the HSE program is based on the following principles:
Management is responsible and accountable for protecting employees, assets and the environment in accordance with the company charter. In addition, prevention of injuries and illnesses and environmental preservation must be made a priority during project planning, operations, maintenance, and construction activities.
Supervisors are accountable for the actions of their subordinates and will always reinforce safe work behaviors. All employees are responsible for stopping unsafe acts, alerting management of unsafe work areas, and for following company HSE policies and procedures.
Leitbild Services maintains an effective staff surveillance system as below:
- Any individual upon employment will fill personnel forms with comprehensive details about themselves and their kin.
- A movement register is maintained, which is logged with details of personnel movement, departure & arrival times while on company business.
- Each work site has an Project Manager who will prepare daily reports.
- All personnel must comply with client visitor management system.
Leitbild Services Safety Department regularly prepares reports emanating from the Safety Policy for the attention of all employees and contractors. A computerized planning system for scheduling, controlling and reporting progress of work is in place at all work sites.
A management safety committee acts as the guardian of HSE policies and objectives. Safety training courses, both in-house and external are conducted on a regular basis encompassing but not limited to the following areas:
- Industrial first aid
- Basic fire prevention
- Site unsafe condition audit
- Materials handling
- Defensive driving
- Accident reporting and investigation
- Marine CASHES awareness training
